Cuisine Gourmet breakfasts will be a highlight of your stay at Rippinvale Retreat! We use only the freshest seasonal New Zealand produce which is simply prepared and beautifully presented. Breakfast is served in the privacy of your suite, or alfresco during summer, at a time to suit you. Our condiments and preserves are made with love and care, the old fashioned way, from sun ripened fruit and vegetables grown in the gardens at Rippinvale. We do not use harmful sprays or chemicals on any of our food, and our meat and eggs are all ethically farmed. With prior notice we can prepare a delicious picnic hamper for you, or during summer, experience a romantic Victorian afternoon tea. Yummy ploughmans platters are also available if you are feeling a bit peckish. Hanmer Springs has lovely restaurants nearby, we are happy to make dinner reservations for you as we don't serve dinner at Rippinvale.   Sample Breakfast Menu Fresh orange juice, tea & coffee Seasonal fruit Rich greek yoghurt with honey & lemon Creamy bircher muesli or Cinnamon porridge, cream & brown sugar  Freshly baked bread & criossants or pastries  Old fashioned conserves Followed by the chef's special... examples include: Smoked salmon eggs benedict Buttermilk hotcakes with bacon, banana & maple syrup Quince crepes with an orange & pomegranate sauce Creamy egg & baked ham mille-feuille Farmers feast... eggs, bacon & all the trimmings
